Knut is a Research Intern at Firelight. He works with the Traditional Knowledge and Use Study team conducting research and writing, field research, and providing support for data collection and analysis. His MA at McGill focused on the impact of environmental and socio-economic change on Inuit caribou harvesting on southern Baffin Island. With an academic background in climate change and adaptation and resilience, and environmental resource management, Knut has developed his fieldwork experience in a range of contexts across Canada. Knut has also contributed to a number of projects linking climate change and ecological health to the health and wellbeing of indigenous communities in Canada.
